Serhat's extensive portfolio of marketing experience spans across companies such as Gorkana Group, MediaCom, Kantar Media and GfK. He quickly recognised a gap in client output and set out to change the landscape of diversity and inclusion within media and advertising. Since heading up OMG UNITE in 2016, the division has gone from 1 award in 7 years to 8 awards in 3, including Best Marketing Campaign (European Diversity Awards), Advanced Award for Diversity (BIMA Awards) and Public Sector and Charities (Campaign Media Awards).
Most recently, Serhat was shortlisted for Media Leader of the Year (Media Week Awards, 2021). He regularly advocates for D&I as a panel speaker at organisations such as Facebook, BIMA, The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) and EffWorks Global, as well as contributing to publications such as The Drum and Campaign with thought-leadership articles.
In addition to winning Trailblazer of the Future (Campaign Magazine), Serhat was named on the iList of Industry Inclusivity Game Changers (IPA). But it doesn't stop there, he is also a mentor at MEFA (Media For All) and Bloom UK, and a Board Advisor for 14 Consulting.
